Planks create calm and serenity to a room. Plank floors usually follow the main walking direction or light in a room. Traditionally, planks are installed parallel to the longest wall. In certain spaces, one may however consider installing a plank floor at a certain angle, as this tends to lead a person around a corner or towards adjacent areas. We distinguish three plank patterns:
FIXED WIDTH
Planks in a fixed width is the most common floor pattern. It's praised for it's calm and serene impression.
MIXED WIDTH
Plank floors that contain multiple widths are considered to be more organic/natural, as trees generate a mix of plank widths. 'MIXED WIDTH' plank floors combine a certain nr. of widths which are installed in a repetitive form.
RANDOM WIDTH
Plank floors that contain multiple widths are considered to be more organic/natural, as trees generate a mix of plank widths. 'RANDOM WIDTH' plank floors combine a certain nr. of widths which are installed in random order.
